CONVERTIBLE RENTALS IN SCOTTSDALE & PHOENIX

There’s no better place on Earth to drop the top than Scottsdale. 300+ days of sunshine. Desert sunsets that paint the sky. Open roads through Camelback, Pinnacle Peak, and the Superstitions. A convertible isn’t a seasonal rental here — it’s the way you should experience this place.

Apex Exotic Rentals delivers the most desirable convertible exotics in Arizona — Ferrari, McLaren, Lamborghini, Audi, Chevrolet — straight to your hotel, resort, or home. Sun out, top down, ready when you are.

WHY A CONVERTIBLE IN SCOTTSDALE

Some cars need a track. A convertible just needs sun.

Scottsdale’s climate, scenery, and lifestyle were built for open-air driving. Cruise Old Town with the top down. Take Bell Road north to Cave Creek for breakfast. Wind through the McDowell Mountains at sunset. Park outside Hash Kitchen on a Saturday morning and let the car be the conversation.

A convertible exotic isn’t about driving fast. It’s about driving aware — feeling the air change as you climb in elevation, hearing the engine without filters, seeing the sky without a roof. The car becomes part of the place. That’s the experience Apex delivers.

THE CONVERTIBLE FLEET

Six convertibles, six different experiences. Choose the one that fits your trip.

Lamborghini Huracan Spyder — $1,500/day
Black on black. The most photogenic car in the fleet. V10 howl with the top down. The Instagram exotic.

Ferrari 488 Spider — $1,800/day
Iconic Ferrari twin-turbo V8. Italian craftsmanship. The bucket-list convertible — what most people picture when they imagine renting an exotic.

McLaren 720S Spider — $2,000/day
The hypercar that drops its top. 710 horsepower. F1 heritage. The most serious driver’s convertible on the market.

Audi R8 Spyder — $800/day
Same V10 as the Huracán with Audi everyday-usability. Blue paint, refined comfort, supercar performance. The best entry-point convertible exotic.

Corvette C8 — $400/day
American supercar in convertible form. Mid-engine, retractable hardtop, accessible price. The most-booked convertible in the fleet.

Corvette C8 Z06 — $800/day
The track-tuned version of the C8 — 670hp, flat-plane V8, 8,600 RPM redline — with the same hardtop convertible setup. American Ferrari hunter.

BEST ROUTES FOR A CONVERTIBLE IN PHOENIX

**Sunset cruise — Old Town Scottsdale to Pinnacle Peak**
30 minutes. North on Scottsdale Road, top down as the sky turns. Best at golden hour.

**Cave Creek breakfast run**
45 minutes north on Cave Creek Road. Two-lane desert highway, light traffic on weekend mornings, perfect for a Ferrari or McLaren.

**Bartlett Lake loop**
90-minute round trip. Climbs into the McDowell Mountains. Light traffic, sweeping curves, dramatic scenery. The drive that justifies a 720S Spider.

**Sedona day trip**
2 hours each way. Take the back road through Cottonwood. Red rock country with the top down — one of the great drives in the American Southwest.

**Apache Trail (Tortilla Flat)**
60 minutes east. Historic highway through canyon country to a one-stop ghost town. Worth it for the photos alone.

CONVERTIBLE VS COUPE — WHICH IS RIGHT FOR YOU?

Some exotics are available in both convertible (Spyder/Spider) and coupe form. Quick guide:

Choose a convertible if you want the photoshoot moment, you’re driving for the experience rather than the track, and weather is good — in Scottsdale, it usually is. Choose a coupe if you’re focused on pure driving dynamics or want the most aggressive visual posture.

When in doubt in Scottsdale: convertible. The weather and the scenery make the choice easy.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

**Are convertibles really practical year-round in Phoenix?**
Yes. Scottsdale averages 300+ sunny days a year and winter highs in the 70s. Even summer mornings and evenings are comfortable for top-down driving. Most convertibles have powerful A/C for daytime use with the top down.

**Can I take the convertible on the highway?**
Absolutely. All our convertibles are highway-rated and comfortable at speed. The Ferrari 488 Spider, McLaren 720S Spider, and Audi R8 Spyder all have wind management systems that make highway driving with the top down very livable.

**How long does it take to put the top up or down?**
Most modern convertible exotics raise or lower in 15-25 seconds. The McLaren 720S Spider operates at speeds up to approximately 30 mph. The Corvettes and Ferraris must be at a stop. All operate via a single button or switch.

**What if it rains?**
Rare in Scottsdale, but every convertible has a fully sealed top that performs identically to a coupe in weather. You can drive in rain without issue — just put the top up.

**Do convertibles cost more to rent than coupes?**
Pricing varies by vehicle, not by body style. The Huracán Spyder ($1,500) is slightly more than the Huracan coupe ($1,200) because it’s a more expensive car to source, but a Corvette C8 convertible costs the same as the coupe.

**Can I rent multiple convertibles for a group?**
Yes. Group bookings for bachelor parties, weddings, and corporate events are welcomed. Contact Aaron directly to coordinate multi-vehicle reservations.
