What insurance coverage is required?
All renters must carry full-coverage auto insurance including collision, comprehensive, and liability. You will be required to provide proof of coverage prior to your rental being confirmed. If you do not have full coverage, optional insurance is available through Apex.
What age and license do I need?
Renters must be at least 21 years old with a valid U.S. or Canadian driver’s license for standard luxury vehicles. For exotic vehicles including Ferrari, Lamborghini, and McLaren, the minimum age is 25. International renters are welcome and must provide an International Driver’s Permit or a certified translation of their foreign license.
How much is the security deposit?
A refundable security deposit of $1,500–$2,500 is required at the time of your reservation. The exact amount varies by vehicle. The deposit is held on your card and not charged — it is released following a post-rental inspection with any applicable deductions for overage miles or damages.
How many miles are included?
Each rental includes 100–200 miles per day depending on the vehicle. Additional miles can be purchased in advance at a discounted rate, or added at the standard overage rate of $3–$10 per mile depending on the vehicle. Per-vehicle mileage details are listed on each vehicle page.
Can I have the car delivered?
Yes. Apex offers white-glove delivery throughout the entire Phoenix metro area including Scottsdale, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, Tempe, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Queen Creek, Fountain Hills, Mesa, and more. Delivery is also available to Phoenix Sky Harbor (PHX), Scottsdale Airport (SDL), and all major resorts and hotels in the area. A delivery fee applies and varies based on distance — averaging $150 each way.
Can I drive the car out of state?
Out-of-state travel is permitted with prior approval. You must disclose your trip plans before departure to ensure proper insurance compliance. Please contact us before your rental if you plan to cross state lines.
What should I check before driving off?
We strongly recommend completing a full walkaround inspection with the delivery driver at the time of vehicle handoff. Note any pre-existing marks, scratches, or cosmetic details and confirm they are documented before you take possession. This protects both parties and ensures a smooth return process.
What happens if I return late?
Late returns are subject to additional hourly or daily fees depending on the duration of the delay. If you anticipate needing extra time, contact Apex as soon as possible to adjust your booking. We will always do our best to accommodate schedule changes.
Can I rent an exotic car for a wedding, prom, or special event in Scottsdale or elsewhere?
Absolutely. Apex regularly provides vehicles for weddings, proms, bachelor and bachelorette parties, birthdays, anniversaries, corporate events, photoshoots, and more. Chauffeur services are available for select vehicles, and special arrangements such as champagne and extras can be coordinated in advance. Contact us to discuss your event and we will put together the right package for you.
Do you offer luxury car rental delivery to the airport?
Yes. Apex delivers directly to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) and Scottsdale Airport (SDL). Whether you are arriving for business or pleasure, your vehicle can be waiting for you. Delivery fees apply based on location. Contact us to arrange airport delivery for your trip.
